It's deffinately a high current busting in that fuse, blue light and white smoke. I'll check each board individually to narrow it down next time i get the chance and then start working through the sem .......

My friend gave me a Luxman amp, nice unit, but the 5A power supply fuse always blows. I can't find any short and the whole power supply is spread out and hidden beneath seemingly thousands of feet of .......

That's too bad. I might be able to get one on ebay for -$100, but no reason why it should be in better condition than his. The balance dial isn't that much of a problem I guess, I don't know when the .......

I think I'm going to go with the refoams. If I am ever to replace them all I would need to do is hook the two 8-ohm replacements up in series? Seems easy enough, unless I don't understand. ::: TOPIC:: .......

Does anyone know if there are any 16ohm, 3" tweeters available in some hidden corner of the internet? I have a pair of Pioneer CS-88a's with a total of four torn-to-shit tweeter surrounds, and it seem .......

I finished my ST-120 a couple of weeks ago but didn't post photos. I blew up one of the driver boards with my finger so I decided if I was going to fix it that I might as well do as much work on it as .......

what about the output coils around the capacitors? is there a simpler way to make the band stop filter, or am i stuck with huge hand-wound coils wrapped in packing tape? my meter says it has a value o .......

in the mod instructions it says to add a capacitor between Q3C and grnd, is this the ground lug or any part of the amp that is grounded .......

Damn, I picked up 18 gauge, but better safe than sorry, I'll get some 16 next time I'm at RadioShack, the stuff I got was repurposed anyway. I ended up just cutting the terminal strip from the old rep .......

My uncle bought an ST-120 at a yard sale for maybe $20. One of the output caps was blown (C7) and had been fixed with a tiny radial cap soldered to a small piece of board. So, we ordered 2 new capa .......
