I hear you Duster and was thinking the same myself. Sounds like I'll have to save up and give the PS Audio 12S12's a try. Silver did sound great in my previous system with my Harmonic Tech Pro-Silway .......

For spring clip applications I use Rhodium plated pins on the terminating ends of the speaker cables. ...See the Music, Feel the Music, Be the Music... .......

I guess it is system dependant but I have always found glass toslinks to best digital coax cables...even the Sound Professional ones for $49. Since you like sticking to digital coax though, you might .......

I think you want it to at least be a meter...there was a discussion a while back on the boards about this. I think test results have shown that even though there really is no maximum, the best range ( .......

Rob, That's only for the AES-EBU Digital Cable in XLR connection. The RCA version is 75 ohms which is what you want. Hope this helps...I've heard nothing but glowing reviews on this cable...happy list .......

Sure, just connect the RSC links in place of the stock ones in the back. On mine, they are connected on the Pre-Out 1 and Main In connections. I use my Pre-Out 2 jacks for seperate L and R channels fo .......

I thought I read somewhere here that Cardas cords take about 500hrs to fully "break in"...I guess you will know though when your ears tell you bublitchki :) I know my HT Pro Silway MkIII's took longer .......

I'm happily using mine as well...though I must admit, the rest of the signal chain had to "grow accustomed" to the new digital cable...a couple of hours of constant music fixed it though...great cable .......

I have the C372 and it is awesome, basically I think the torroidal power supply has been upgraded as well as some of the other internals...I believe the capacitors are upgraded as well. Mine sounds ve .......

Define "almost dedicated" please...this would be key. If you have a dedicated line or something very close to that level, it makes no sense to get a power conditioner. I would rather suggest you picku .......

I have owned Bettercables Silver Serpent Component and S-Video cables and for the price...they are the best bang for the buck. They looked even better than some costing more when doing an A-B comparis .......

I am using the DAC2 and it is just plain ear candy...my music bever sounded so good. An outboard DAC will definently almost alwasy sound better than a built-in DAC into your CDP transport... ::: TOPIC .......

humidity and temp also play a fector...if you live in a dry region and have open ends or not properly sealed connectors, it will last longer than in a humid region...not that anyone cares but I though .......

I've read a Dutch study done on this as well and they have run some tests as well. TDK and Memorex seem to be favored amoing the big brands...there were some no name brands that did well also (think R .......

They are too mainstream for that unfortunently...they only tend to play to the high-end crowd with interconnects and speaker cables...I wish they would though .......

I had their subwoofer cable which was much better than my Monster THX one I had...but I heven't used their line of cables for a while now...I do remember them being excellent in CS as you mentioned ho .......

I would stick with the same brand IMHO...should give your system a bit more synergy...if you really want to go into another brand...I'd suggest checking out RS Cables' Pure Palladium interconnects...a .......

Sound Professional Glass Toslink is one of the best glass cables out there, best many very high priced coax cables and is also immune to interference since it's optical...and at $49 it's a no-brainer. .......

My Harmonic Tech Pro-Silway MkIII works wonderfully...best interconnect I have had in my system yet...better than the Pro-Silway MkII which was bit too "edgy" in the highs...read the reviews on it on .......

I'm not sure on that one. They might eventually have DBS phono cables that connect between the turntable to preamp/amp. Since the dielectric is set up in this fashion, it would most likely enhance the .......

I have been using the Pioneer PD-1007F for years and I think it has great sound mated with my DAC2 using a glass toslink and HT Pro-Silway Mk III cables. Very good IMHO...I'm working on getting the Ma .......

Just about any will do for the SR60's since they are rated at 32ohms...I'd stick to Sony, Panasonic, and Kenwood. Portables should be at 32ohms as far as headphone drive level, I don't think I've had .......

They basically are in place to create a link so your speakers will play sound...if they are not, the int-amp assumes that you are using it as a pre-amp and have it run into an amp. I suggest getting r .......

They are the same connector basically, same number of glass cores in the inside...how did you pay twice the price of it? I think they are still selling for the same price on the web (a bit over $100 s .......

hmmmm...that is odd...is there anything at the ends of the terminating plugs that you can twist? I know on my HT Pro9's they have a twisting mechanism that when you twist it, the banana ends spring op .......

They are "tops" midfi...Teac is really crummy and if you actually open up any one of their components, you'll see why. I would suggest to look elsewhere for your components needs...if you need space s .......

nope...although some companies on the web or certain high-end shops might carry it. maybe one can find it on eBay as well...though NAD components are usually tough to find there as well...I sold my T7 .......

I would choose the Pro-Silway MkIII's and forget the rest...I am using it between my DAC and Intergrated Amp and it sounds so sweet...much better and not as harsh in the highs as the MkII's. Just my o .......

My rule of thumb is to try and get an amp that is very near the max handling watts of the speaker, giving room for program peaks so there is no clipping. I just replaced my current receiver (NAD T752) .......

I'd just run it off of the nominal impedance, a good amp should take care of the dips which usually occur when lower frequencies are playing through the speakers. Setting impendance too low can damage .......

Sell the Sony on eBay and get NAD receiver. It sounds like you have 8 ohm speakers above but a fellow inmate directed me to a web site whicih clearly showed Sony's "real" power output. In a home theat .......

Nothing will fill that low end you are looking for like an SVS sub. I have their PCi series sub and it is amazing...even before breakin! They basically make ONLY subs and yes, they beat out Velodyne w .......

I am running 2 speakers at 4 ohms, the Polk LSi9's to be exact. I know that the manual says that it can handle 4 ohms at 90 watts. My question is, is anyone running the receiver into 4 ohms for a home .......

Hi there, I am using the ones you can get on eBay for $30 and they sounded as good as the Wireworld Supernova III that I had...I did comparisons on them and ended up selling the $125 Wireworlds and ke .......

I found it was infact the wires switched internally on the left channel...I opened it up and switched and now everything is okay :) .......

Found it Polkadot...It seems that the left channel is switched on the crossover...a guy in the forums posted it over at Polk...well...at least my search is over...now to try and fix the problem withou .......

yep...tried different source material...still same problem. I checked my hookup of speaker cables and ll is as it should be. I even tried to move the speaker cable from the lower two inputs to the upp .......

Thanks for the reply. The problem is that one of the speaker's midranges (there are two with the tweeter) simply does not emit sound. What's odd is that the oposite midrange on the other speaker has t .......

Thanks guys for letting me know...I guess since the eBay ones I got sound better in your opinion, and I've heard that they sound the same or better from others here as well, I will be sticking to them .......

I concur that the BetterCables component video is the best bang for the buck...I had Monsters as well and after the cables were burnt in, revealed a better picture in terms of brightness and color mat .......

Sorry for the late reply Doublej, I used Harmonic Tech's dvd power cord adapter and the Harmonic Tech Pro AC-11 power cord. Sound was more focused and the soundstage widened. The video was brighter an .......
