Yes, the Tyr (two of them) would certainly have the current capacity needed and then some. Actually the Vidar 2 seems like it would work, at only $799 for a stereo amp. It doubles its 100W 8 Ohm power .......

Focal says 91.5 dB efficiency, but as you noted, there are some impedance dips below 4 Ohms at a couple of points. So I think I would want an amplifier capable of driving 4 Ohms or less at those troub .......

I use the FLIRC case, it is fanless therefore totally silent. The whole case is a big heat sink. As for power supply, I use the switching wall wart that came with the RPi 4 Canakit and it sounds fine. .......

I found there IS a way to not play the 30 second 'sample' tracks, it is in the Logitech Media Server Qobuz plugin settings. So if you are using LMS you can do it. But there is no setting like that ava .......

My windows 10 PC can only stream 16/44, if I set it to 24/96 or higher, it takes a LONG time to buffer the track (3-5 minutes), and if playing a 24/192 file the sound will be broken up and not play pe .......

Don't worry about it, it is a normal sound. My SR202's do this also. Besides the very thin diaphragm, there's also a very thin dust cover and these things can rustle a bit when the air pressure change .......

I replaced my SB3 with the HEOS Link when Rhapsody wouldn't play on it anymore. The HEOS Link will play Rhapsody, Spotify, Tidal, Internet Radio, Pandora, and several other sources. It will play music .......

I have a Logictech Squeezebox 'classic' (SB3) sitting unused on the shelf since they stopped supporting Rhapsody. I replaced it with a Denon HEOS Link, which does support Rhapsody as well as Spotify, .......

I have SMGc's (similar to MMG) and a powered subwoofer with an adjustable high-pass filter for the L & R speakers. I found that it sounds much better to run the SMGc's full range and set the subwoofer .......

I had an Eton E5 portable for a while before it broke, it's no longer available but it was pretty good, even with just the whip antenna. Taking it outside the house improved reception quite a bit, bot .......

I'm still searching for a Squeezebox replacement after they dropped support for Rhapsody. I tried the Sonos but was disappointed with the sound quality compared to the Squeezebox, using coaxial or opt .......

The subwoofer could actually be SUBTRACTING bass if it is not in phase with your main speakers at the listening position. See if the bass sounds better with the subwoofer off. If it does, it is out of .......

I just could not get it to sound as good as the Squeezebox, it had diminished bass and less coherence no matter what I tried. For now the SB3 is back on duty playing Pandora and a few other things. Rh .......

The Sonos Connect is sounding better tonight, either it is breaking in or I'm getting used to the sound. Bass is a bit better, there is more detail and the coherence is getting pretty good. I'm listen .......

My Connect doesn't need the bridge, it connects directly to my wireless router. And its digital output goes into a Behringer SRC2496, which feeds a DEQ2496 (contains the DAC) where it is finally conve .......

I know the Sonos is putting 16-bit 44.1 KHz out on it's digital output (I can see this from the SRC2496 it is connected to), but as you say that 16-bit 44.1 KHz stream does not contain all the origina .......

No, I am listening to Rhapsody and Pandora which are compressed streams. Pandora is 128k mp3 and I think Rhapsody is 192 AAC. When I listen to the WAV file I ripped on my computer as a test, there is .......

I compared the optical and coaxial outputs from the Sonos, the coaxial was very slightly better to my ears. .......
