I have not played with the GS series. LS, REF are the spring loaded types. That would include the LS-17, LS-27, etc. This has been the volume control for nearly 20 years. .......

No. The volume control you describe is what they have been using for some time. Not crazy about it but not a big deal since I use the remote 99% of the time. The SP-20 and REF-10, touch screen disp .......

The Premium BE is a fine performer. If I did not have the Zero I would be quite happy with the Premium BE. .......

The Zero may be the finest cartridge I have ever heard. My Madake is close but there is a certain magic in the midrange of the Zero that the Madake does not quite capture. Mono records sound much bett .......

These 'ultrasonic' cleaner are bad news. They vibrate the stylus/cantilever assembly. We would not want any vibrations on this delicate assembly. And to make things worse my Signet vibrates around 400 .......

No need to worry. The Sovtek 6550WE is a fine tube. ARC actually prefers them over the Winged C. Having listened to both in my ARC amps I would go with the Sovtek even if the Sovtek and Winged C were .......
