Frank, that tube combination sounds interesting. Matched pairs and quads I assume. Your method provides me ideas; just in case a failing resistor gives way and takes out a tube or two. .......

I replaced the 6SL7 tube input tube with a Tung-Sol brand as well. Scriabin, how long do your tubes last biased to the max. 500mv? I was told on the Yahoo Golden Tube Audio user group to follow 450mv .......

The transformer for the neon light will add a lot of noise to the line, sounds like a bad idea. Good idea to turn off all flourescent and halogen lights in the house along with your computer and keep .......

They started the auto turn on with the Aerius-i (I think), which would be about 1994. I have an early pair of the original Aerius speakers, was told back in 1998 that I could upgrade the boards from M .......

I think Al Sekela hit on something besides the rooms acoustics. Guess how many plugged in computers were on in your old apartment building. All that line noise would be killing your sound, no mater ho .......

Of all my equipment the Grado Sonata cartidge takes longest, three LP sides. However now that I have a tube preamp with all tube phone section I'd say it's down to the first song on the first side. Co .......

The steam cleaner and Orbatrac followed by the vacume cleaner does magic. That long process is the only one I would reserve for the kitchen. I have an antique that my Record Doctor sits on, does just .......
