I can drive my 2-way horn speakers to high enough SPL level to drive me out of the room with my 1.8 wpc 45 mono blocks. You only need a few watts for the Khorns. I have also had good luck with 300b, a .......

I think a lot of the people who enjoy McIntosh eqquipment also happen to be collectors. That is certainly a big part of the mystique around McIntosh. For proof just search the ebay ads and see how man .......

I think these speakers have all the bass that I will ever need. Tom Brennen actually measured bass response down to 25dB in his set up with the same bass bins. I have heard lots of good (and horrible) .......

Agreed. The transformers Angela sells for 99 each are rated for 150mA. I would buy those before the ones you describe. I got lucky and I scrounged a pair of vintage Triad R-21A for under $100 to my do .......

All tube amps sound different, period. For the most part we are all using different speakers, tube amps, and preamps, right? I know enough not to buy a cheap 845 Chinese amplifier. It is VERY expensiv .......

The massive 150-4C driver according to the JBL literature is quite similar to the JBL Everest 150-4H driver. The 150-4H driver is rated at 100dB efficient @1W @1M. I would really assume pretty safely .......
