On turn off it's amp first then preamp. Turn on is the opposite, preamp then amp. That way, fewer pops and such. .......

I don't understand why nobody seems to realize that XRCD's and K2's are essentially the same thing! They share the exact same mastering process, JVC's K2 supercoding, but K2's are constructed just lik .......

My first clue should have been in the owners manual where they say something like, "Don't tube roll as the tube sockets aren't sturdy enough for frequent tube changes". I mean this is a preamp that's .......

It will get better with aging, probably another 5-7 years would be good, but don't bother unless you have a good place to keep it. A nice dark, dank, cool basement is ideal. Whatever you do don't keep .......

Alon Lotus SE MkIII's and Cary 300B Sig monos. This is the model with the 14 ohm woofer so it's a very easy load, and I believe it was voiced using Cary 300B's. .......

I've seen some good deals on used Air Tight preamps on Audiogon. I own an Air Tight ATC-1 and love it, I would highly recommend considering one. .......

I think you're getting that backwards. The post said dealers buy at 60% of retail, that equates to a 40% discount, not a 60% discount. This would align perfectly with the numbers you are presenting. : .......

I've had 25+ transactions and they've all gone smoothly. I even sold a transport/dac combo to a guy all the way in Taiwan without a hitch. That being said, if I were in your situation I would attempt .......
