With the Placette in place, my system just doesn't sound as musical. The midrange just does not "sing" as well. Dynamics does not seem to be the issue. I haven't given up on the Placette yet. Original .......

On my CLS's, my 50 watt AES Six Pac's out gun (and finese) my 200 watt per channel Aragon 8008X5's. Both will play louder than I want to listen too, but the Six Pacs do it with meat on the bones. ::: .......

I didn't like the reQuests either. Bass didn't integrate as well as the SL3's. Sequel's were b4 my time. Though I can't image liking them better than CLS's. Everything about the CLS's are better than .......

But I do think that dry is irritating. I had really wanted to like Innersound's. They were high on my list for upgrading from SL3's. I have heard them a few times different systems, including my own. .......

There was a point in the break-in process for my Shelter 501, around mid-way, where its sound got quite pinched. Its the first cartridge that I have had that had an s-curve in the break-in process. Li .......

Why would you want to truncate and color the sound of live event (or the sound pain stakenly achieved in the studio) even more than the recording and decoding process has already done? I agree with yo .......

I don't now about the monitors, but I was listenning to some of the big SF floor standers recently in an Airtight sytem and in also in a Nagra system and they sounded simply stunning. Boy, the SF spea .......

I just upgraded to a Shelter 501 from a Clearaudio Virtuoso Wood. The Shelter has far less surface noise than the Clearaudio. It almost seem like my entire record collection has been replaced with new .......

I have found just about the opposite. More cross over problems with Maggies than with Logan's. Both require proper placement. Maggies are more forgiving of lesser quality gear. But with good source ma .......

Of course analog quality is dependent on the recording and pressing. Something about the analog to digital and digital back to analog conversion processes do something that my makes music less satisfy .......

I had my 834P upgraded with Dynamicap's (2 x "5uF. 310V" & 5 x ".1uF 425V"). One coupling cap was removed and tube was hand biased. It took a while to get my unit back, but it was worth the wait. I do .......

That's not my experience. I found the Innersound's to sound dry and lifeless. They were a big disappointment after all the hype surrounding them. I like Quads 988's and 989's over the Eros's. But, ult .......

As long as you create your list in a database or spreadsheet, the only thing you need to do is add additional columns (e.g., genre, sub-genre,source(LP,CD,etc) that can be used for searching/sorting. .......

Just took a listen. For a current artist Tomasz Stanko is pretty good. But personally, I've never been able to really get into that "Miles" sound. Wynton is closer to my cup to tea. .......
