You might consider a Musical Fidelity V-90 lps. Audio Adviser has a few demo models on sale. $80 off retail. For the cartridge you might consider a Nagaoka MP-110. Great rock cartridge. .......

My first "real" table was a Dual 1215S that I bought new in 1972 or 1973. It was a workhorse that lasted me until 1989 or so. I just always liked the wood look. Plus you could also play the occasional .......

I installed it just about square with the front of the headshell. It looks like I twisted it just a scoosh in the clockwise direction. No spacer either, I prefer slightly tail down. .......

The Denon DL-160 is a high output mc and is designed to be used into a mm phono stage ie: 47K ohms. I have a DL-110 that sounds great into a Musical Fidelity V-LPS. Enjoy. .......

If I may make a suggestion. You might want to try a Denon DL-110 on the Denon DP-300F. Another poster on this forum said he heard the combination and it was quite good. I have one myself but I have no .......

Thanks for using my video. The Denon is really not a bad deal at it's price point. The stock cartridge is adequate for someone just getting into vinyl. At some point I would like to try a a Denon DL-1 .......

model it comes with a longer spindle so that you can use the regular Michell clamp with out any problems. I have had the original Michell clamp for about twenty years or so and when I bought a Rega P5 .......

I briefly tried my Denon with the built in phono stage and it sounded fine. However that was with stock cartridge. I would think that the DL110 with 2.2 mv would not have a problem. Maybe the built in .......

The Denon DL-110 would probably work well for you. It is a great all around cart and has the Denon house sound ie: neutral midrange, solid bass and clean highs. It is hard to beat at its price point. .......

No need to wrap the tonearm. It comes stock with a wrap of clear polyolefin. You can adjust for viscous damping at the pivot point simply by adding silicone fluid. It is a versatile good sounding arm. .......

You can put some silicone fluid under the cap to damp the arm if you are having tracking problems with a certain cartridge. I have been using a Shure V15VMR with the brush down on my arm and have not .......

Not a problem. The Denon is a HOMC, high output moving coil and it works well into a mm phono stage.FYI the Denon DL-160 has been discontinued. .......

If it were me I would try out the Ortofon om20 and see how it sounds. If you are not sure how old and worn the stylus is then you might want to upgrade. I personally would save some money and go with .......

You need to measure the height of the cartridge. See pic. It will probably be between 17mm to 19mm in depth. Then set your vta from the chart in the Technics owners manual. Hope this helps. ::: TO .......

The tonearm should be secured to the acrylic plinth by a large nut. Just reach under the table and find the nut. It will probably be on the loose side. Tighten the nut in a counter-clockwise direction .......

As Opus has suggested the Incognito/Cardas tone arm rewire is a great upgrade. The Michell Tecno Weight is a proven winner especially on an RB 250 arm. It replaces the plastic stub with a metal one .......

It should work. Just find out how many amps your VPI motor draws. If it is less than 3 amps you should be good to go. .......

Did you buy an older AR XA or a newer version? If you bought an XA or XB you would have to do a lot of mods to mount a tonearm. An AR ES-1 would have a replaceable armboard making it a lot easier t .......
