Nothing...I've never needed to. Since day one I've always treated my CD's like my LP's. I've never had a problem even with my oldest discs dating from the Mid-80's. I've ripped over 1200 CD's to hard .......

Who's Next and Quadrophenia are out on SACD now from Japan. They are a bit pricey but readily available. Just search for 'CDJAPAN' and then poke around their website. Amazon also carries these two SA .......

I tried running the Oppo 105 directly into my power amp minus the preamp and it just lacked the drive and punch I get from running it through a preamp. So, even through I technically could run the Opp .......

Not a bad thought. Most of the time when a player goes bad it is transport related. In this set-up you get a inexpensive, but decent, DAC that should last for a long, long time. Then when the $100 DVD .......

As Steve warns, you can hit your speakers w/ 100% volume if you're not careful. I've done it a couple of times as I fiddled to go back-n-forth between Pure Music for iTunes playback and Internet video .......

It hasn't been remastered. So far all they've remastered, or at least released, is 'Born To Run' and 'Darkness On The Edge Of Town'. It may have been re-released in 2002 but that's not the same as rem .......

I scored the CTF-9191 for $25.00 and after a little chrome cleaner and some wood restorer the damn thing looks almost new. I've dubbed some SACD's on it using TDK's SM60 (Studio Master Hi-Bias) casset .......

It'll work just fine. I don't have HDMI on my audio set-up but still run HDMI out to my HDTV and both work fine at the same time. .......

All Oppo's that I'm aware of also have stereo analog RCA outputs. You could always hook up the stereo analog outs from the Oppo to a CD or AUX input on the receiver and, depending on the quality of th .......

Same problem with an earlier Denon 2900. I was really pissed off at the time because I spent damn near $1,000 on the player and only got a couple years of light use since I mostly listened to CD's on .......

I would believe, although I've never been able to hear it myself, that through HDMI DSD and PCM sound similar but I also believe anytime you add a conversion, whether from DSD to analog or DAD to PCM .......

Yes, still using all separates via analog stereo and 5.1 with no HDMI anywhere but on my HDTV. The Denon converts DSD directly to analog without first going to PCM. The Oppo will also output DSD direc .......

If you not afraid to unscrew and pull off the cover you might be able to clean the lens directly with a Q-tip and a little rubbing alcohol. I've never had much luck with those so-called lens cleaners .......

The domestic Genesis are only CD and Dolby 5.1 on the DVD. You'll have to source the import versions (from UK or Japan) to get the SACD Hi-Rez editions. I ordered a couple of these titles from Amazon .......

I still think RANT is a much stronger album overall. I am a big Mott/Ian fan myself but really only liked about half of this new disc. Granted, five or six good new Ian songs is still well worth the p .......

I think HighEndWire is right about it not being a true DVD-Audio disc. I believe that the bonus DVD only includes a Hi-Rez 24 Bit, 96 KHz. stereo audio track. Neil did this before with his greatest hi .......

Nope, no level control. Just vaery basic down-n-dirty switch boxes. Most DVD-A and SACD players however allow for speaker level adjustment in the set-up menu. Between that and getting up evey now and .......

I had the same problem with all the Rolling Stones SACD Digipacks. Nearly 75% arrived with broken center spindles so I had to remove all and put them in standard jewel cases to protect against damage. .......

Personally I like most of The Stones catalog better than DSOTM. I bought it of course but it just doesn't have the rock-n-roll soul of "Let It Bleed" or "Get Your Rocks Off" IMHO .......

For awhile the British were very well represented with bands like The Kniks, The Beatles, Deep Purple, etc. Lately however, England can't seem to quite match their previos glory in IMHO. America Rocks .......

I purchased the Sony DVP-NS500V from Crutchfield last year and I'm pretty pleased with the SACD performance for a sub $200 player. I haven't yet used it for DVD or regular CD because I have other gear .......

I can't speak for the box set of Bowie AU-20 disc on Ryko but I have both the regular Ryko Ziggy and the Gold AU-20 and they were released in 1990 (regular) and 1994 (AU-20) according to this excellen .......
