Can't find any discussion on the forum as to whether it is preferable to use ChrisV recipte using cryo cat5 or not. I think I have heart positive things about using cryo though... here's a link, its a .......

The words "use 250v fuse" were impressed/imprinted on the outside of the plastic recepticle on the back of the unit into which the female end of the power cord is inserted. I looked closely and saw th .......

I found a fuse on my norh se-9 tube amp and it was blown (story in t he thread linked below). She's running like a charm. (fuse was located on the exterior of the amp in the plug in recepticle). 3 wee .......

The fuse was located where the cord plugs in (access is from the exterior of the amp). I replaced the fuse and it is working fine again. Nice was to start the weekend! .......

I will always terminate the ends of my speaker wire with spades or banana's (this will eliminate the possibility of a short circuit at the amp and speaker terminals) and I won't use cat5 cable without .......

hmm... you may be right.i got the 24 gauge cat5 single strand idea from the forum below...these guys were using a solid core strand of 24 gauge cat wire - I used a 24 gauge stranded core. .......

about $400. Unfortunately, I don't think it has a fuse, at I least i couldn't find one (i assume it would be a glass fuse). Well, I really had no idea that speaker cable could cause this sort of probl .......

than cheap solid state products? I mean, i have never ruined any of my cheapo solid state equipment with bad speaker wire connections etc . Can the type of speakers have an impact on potential damage .......

Hi Chris... No I didn't, but I will be taking the wire to a friend's house and have it tested as he understands technical issues and I don't. You do understand, that i wasn't using your recipe....I si .......

using a single strand of cat 5 24 guage wire be any differnet than using a single strand of 17 gauge radio shack magnet wire which I was using, other than than the fact that the magnet wire is solid c .......

follow-up thought -- I was a bit rough in separating the cat5 wires from the outer sheathing. I slit a short length of the sheeting and used the wires to break/rip/split the remaining 12 foot of the s .......

I used a single strand of cat5e wire for speakers cables. (thus four strands total for two speakers). Turned on the 9 watt tube amp and a small short soft buzz from the speakers and then nothing. Tube .......

I believe that shengya manufactures (i.e., is the oem)for vincent s-6. Not quite sure what the difference between the shengya s-6 and s-10 is though. The shengya can be purchased directly from the man .......
