Well the 6072 is simply a ruggedized, lower microphonics version of a 12AY7. Most of these that I sell are GE, but the triple mica black plate Raytheon is rare and perhaps the most desirable. 12AY7 60 .......

Sorry for the delay. I would say that the Masterpiece punches above its weight and has a fairly linear (not as warm) sound that you get from some other preamps. I think that this preamp would compete .......

I have never heard of a 7DJ8 tube sounding any different from a 6DJ8 just with a higher filament voltage. In fact, for many years the 7DJ8s that Tim used in his gear came from a batch which he bought .......

I agree and I have many friends that are teachers. Teachers work 9 months per year and have more time off during this time than most others with great benefits as well. Not to mention that most teache .......
