Android - lineage 20 (selinux) on Raspberry pi / CM4 works. Output over HDMI and on CM4 based micro boards waveshare Nano-B. I have it tested and running. It's by far one of the best media players out .......

Usual thing isn't it. If you check you will find ALL valve amps measure FR and distortion at 1W into a resistive load (although you won't see it admitted). I always measure mine at -2dB from maximum l .......

yea but you probably never ran a CM4 especially on M.2 memory (PCI-E). I reckon a good CM4 install (they do run stable at 2Ghz) is considerably better than any RPi5, and using a good board, makes the .......

I can believe Stancor sold 7000 of those Triode based williamson amp kits. It was the least expensive way to hit the "quality" amp mantra in 1950. I am keener on BIG amps, as they can feed big hungry .......

Those are late "grey plate" variants. I found the grey plate versions were more variable and less reliable than the plain black plate types. It's highly possible they are 1970s USSR made, but so what, .......

What on earth do you mean by "FRAME GRID"? By definition a triode with the mu of a 12AX7 (98), can't have a frame grid, it's probably equally non linear and has even worse miller effect! .......

Like I said. It all depends on the circuit. The 12AU7 is a low impedance triode, it can conduct lots of current. Perfect for cathode follower drivers. By definition a CF has ZERO gain. A differential .......

6L6GC can be made to work really well, as they are an uprated 807 with a bigger anode on OCTAL not UX. The amp I was just working on, had 807s. Similar thing but higher voltages everwhere. (up to 920V .......

That was precisely the point I made from the beginning. I have to scrap the HT transformers or drop the pair in, to run in series/parallel to convert from 110V to 220V anyhow. It makes no sense to kee .......
