I think you have to look at it as that piece of the normal filament supply design and choose your frequency targets. The application note papers (see Coilcraft for one example) show curves and frequen .......

Common. Maybe only 3 ways to wind and 4 ways to hook it up :) If they're both wound the same sense, I think (total guess) you'd try the bottom one (happily awaiting corrections) .......

Maybe don't think about where the cathode is, instead think about the difference between the cathode and grid. "Ground" can be anywhere--say if you have + & - supplies, etc--the tube doesn't care. Chi .......

I think it was used because it (a) fit the holes (b) fit the space in the little SE w/o PT interference (c) got 8R out instead of factory 4R out and (d) was cheap in keeping with spirit of 1st-timer D .......

Glad everybody beat me to it--was going to suggest 2pi towers if possible as very tough to beat bang per buck. It's a particularly good design to get some bass out of lower-watt deal but they'll take .......

well, one order's data point here (no interest, etc.), but pretty much the opposite. got three honking 3T- jobs with covers. things are built like trucks, taped like industrial art, all came lickety-s .......

No answer here except to keep experimenting. If you're close and just need to tighten, congrats. 20u diff behind 30H doesn't seem like such a big difference in filter to me that it would get you there .......
