If you're worried about an 18k Hz drop with your Fostex tweeters, then the TAD 2001 isn't going to be an improvement for you. SPL starts to fall well before 18k from my experience not to mention the h .......

I'm really happy with my midbass horns. I haven't heard any other midbass horns, but I strongly prefer them over the other designs I've heard and own/owned, which never seemed to get the midbass right .......

While the 12" driver may be nice, I think you're better off with a separate tweeter rather than the coaxial. The T35 rolls off at 15k Hz. I used to run some 12TRX coaxials (and before that the "b" ver .......

It looks like you're on a similar path as others of us who have built mid/upper bass horns. I ended up building a 12-sided conical. I'm happy with the results and get strong range from 80 Hz - 600 Hz .......

I run JBL 2402 tweeters in my horn setup, which are the older alnico version of the 2402H. They're 111 db/watt/1meter. You could also go with the 075, which is very similar. .......

That's what I found. I ended up building volvotreter's 38hz tapped horns. They reach 100 easily. I may add a 20 Hz, but for now I'm happy with 38 Hz .......

Just note that you may have trouble getting 100 Hz out of a 20 Hz tapped horn. You may need an intermediate step to make it up to 100. Now, if you could get your BLHs down to 70 or 80 Hz, you may have .......

Actually, the AU555a is an early solid state running about 30 watts per side. They run around $100 or less. Anything solid brand from that era should do. You shouldn't need more than 30 watts. Hopeful .......

I'm working through Erik's volvotreter build and I finished the round 320 Hz tractrix horn (500 - 5,000 Hz) and 38 Hz Tapped horns (up to 100 Hz). I also picked up some JBL 2402 tweeters for above 5,0 .......

The larger Target turntable stand supports 40 lbs. Your Clearaudio should be 40, just make sure you use long screws into studs. I have an older Target stand that's even larger than the current Pro m .......

Korneffs sound great with most NOS 6sn7 tubes. I've tried Tung-Sol gray glass, National Union VT-231, and 50s Sylvanias. They're all good. I've also heard good things about 5692, but I haven't had a c .......

Thanks - the veneer is walnut burl. Every time I veneer, I vow that I will never veneer again. But then I get lured into a nice stack like the one I used on this plinth. I buy my veneer from veneersup .......

I'm not familiar with the K34H, but if it's a idler, you'll want to use 3/4" baltic birch—six plies usually does the trick (that's what I did). Some people use MDF, but who wants to work with that .......
