Thanks for the help, I've got the problem with the resistances fixed now. I also checked over the orientation of the diodes and capacitors and nothing appeared to be wrong, yet I stil blew a fuse when .......

but I haven't really listened to the cd version that much (I usually listened to a lossy mp3 version which it blows away). It's a pretty good sounding LP, I think, not to mention the music being great .......
