Seems to me it's just like vinyl/CD all over again. I hate those flat screens. They make everything look "cartoony" to me. My 25-year old TV has a far better picture than any of these new ones. I thin .......

If you use the arm to track the record backwards, as I do (i.e. with the arm starting tracking from the spindle out towards the back of the machine), when you pick up the arm, you should pull it over .......

Since nobody else seems to have mentioned it... I went to the (UK) Bristol hi-fi show last weekend. It was pretty dire; most rooms sounded terrible and there were the ubiquitous rooms with big TVs all .......

To clean a record from label to outer rim, you move the arm to the other side of the record, i.e. over the spindle, so the arm is tracking against the direction of the record. If you are really anal, .......

Why don't manufacturers of electronics and source components deal with the issue of isolation themselves? The fact that we need to bother with spikes, cones, platforms etc. means that they have failed .......

My dealer removed the guard on my SME V. He was very insistent that it improves the sound. I have no reason to doubt him and haven't tried comparing with/without. He also recommends not using the damp .......
