That's interesting I've heard MBLs in 4 different shows (2 CESs and 2 Rocky mtn). The 101 Extremes are by far the best I have ever heard any where. 101s close behind. Even the 121s in a smaller room w .......

Similar experience, stationed in Jacksonville Fl in 1980. Found House of Stereo and they had a pair of 3.6s (might have been 3.3s) that just floored me with the depth and realism of what I was hearing .......

Not contradicting here, just trying to wrap my head around that. If you have a well designed sub (in my case velodyne spl12) with room calibration you could get better inigration with say 2 polk vente .......

Yes, running a Jolida Fusion pre with home theater bypass to my Arcam AVR 350. Stereo through the Fusion running Oddyssey stratos monos. Surround through the Arcam, works great. .......

I switched the 12AX7s for Tungsol ECC 803S goldpins, the 12ATs are replaced by NOS Mullard CV4024s. Finished late last night and so far so good. Replaced interconnects with balanced from source to amp .......

I have the Nova driving a 4 ohm load but it is rated at 80 watts in a 8 ohm load. Don't know if it doubles down to 4 ohms. .......

I have a Velodyne SPL 1200 that integrates with my Magnestanded 1.6s very well. Plenty quick enough and has a room EQ microphone calibrated from your listening position (DD series has this as well). C .......

Not just that, the smaller 1.6s can produce extremely tight accurate bass down to around 40 htz. No bloat, no bloom no unwanted boom. Just clear accurate music reproduction. If you need more than that .......

No, sound card won't do it. When I heard them they were drivin by 1k Bryston amps and were explosive. The dynamics were beyond belief for the size. They work beyond the desktop...... .......

Try the Velo spl 10 or 12 in a stereo pair. Compact, but can bring down the house, plus excellent room correction. Easy room correction and they blend beautifullu with my 1.6s. .......

Sonos is the answer. Multi room support (wired and wireless). For the main rig just get the Cullen circuits modded ZP90 and feed it to the DAC of choice (as hi fidelity as you want to go). Been using .......

I have the same situation in reverse. My right speaker is about 2 feet from the corner and the left side opens to a kitchen seperated by a 4 ft bar area. The sweet spot is very good and you get the ad .......

I have stratos mono blocs and couldn't be happier (they are upgraded to the larger caps). They are built bulletproof and sound fantastic, highly recommended for inefficient speakers like the 1.6s. Hig .......

Sonos is the way to go. Ease of use, it's own propritary network (wireless mesh topology), excellent controllers (iphone, droid, cr200). Everybody who touches mine wants one. .......

That is a great suggestion. I sent min off at the end of last year for the cullen stage 4 mod (sent my zp90 as well). Best thing I have done. The difference is significant and makes the sonos ps audio .......

I have had my underwood modded T100 for about 3 years now and continue to be impressed with the sound quality. I love switching inputs btwn tubed and non, it really lets me experiment with cables etc. .......

I have the same sub in my bedroom because it wouldn't integrate with my PG modded 1.6s. When I feel the need for the last few htz I went with the velodyne spl 1200, it is amazing. Room eq, 2000 watts, .......

You didn't hint at price range so it's tough but you can't beat Arcam for their musicality. Have had the AVR 300 and 350, they are beautiful things. While a bit more costly than most very few can matc .......

Do you have automatic microsoft updates enabled? If so you might have gotten an update that has an adverse effect. They are easy enough to roll back, try one at a time and see if there is a difference .......
