Do you know the alloy metal contacts used in the brown socket (Amphenol circa 1950) ? Possible beryllium ? The black socket was made by American Phenolic Corp (circa 1940 ?), the metal contact seem .......

Check resistance of the tweeter. Out of the 3 Goodmans triaxiom ("similar" to trebax), that I came across .. two tweeters were bad. If yours is bad, search for alessandro.mancini in this forum, he wr .......

Blank V24C , there are single, double and quad gangs. http://www.goldpt.com/prices.html place appropriate resistors for each gang. I *think* V24C is smaller enough to fit in Pilot.... .......

John, are you using an external DAC to connect HA-P90SD to your "main system" via the digital out ? or you have some clever ways ... ?? Some portable high-res audio players have line-out/balance out, .......

To prevent excessive grid to cathode voltage at power up. Speakers are not happy without the diodes. At power up, 33uf cap is not charged .. 0 volt ... at steady state .. the diode is taken out of act .......

This PP 45 is quite simple ... small number of components. I use a pair to drive 93db speakers. There is no cap along the signal paths. Interstage transformer is the way to go... PS: design inspire .......

Alessandro thank you for your instructions. I managed to reach the diaphragm and the tweeter airgap. But 1" (25.4mm) voice coil seems to be too small. I am looking for 26mm voice coil (may be harde .......

DIY pair of 45 IT pp amp, over the weekend. AC heating for all tungsten strands. Use 2-stage DC coupled 7119 as frontend. Thumpless & humless at start-up, sing like a sweet dame. Dark background, .......

Hello, the tweeter of a triaxiom needs to be repaired. I *think* I need to unscrew the two mounting nuts to reach the tweeter. I've never done this kind of repair work before. I would like to cons .......
