I had the same tonearm and cartridge when I acquired my cream Garrard 301. I sold them both for enough cash to buy two new tonearms, one for stereo and one for mono, and good DIN cables. .......

I agree. I've tried a number of SETs to drive my Cornwalls, but they never boogied as much as they do with my McIntosh MC30s. .......

I just purchased a nice and clean ATP-12T tonearm, and will mount it on my Garrard 301. I'd like to replace its DIN cable. Can I use a regular DIN cable on this tonearm, or does it need something spec .......

When the amps are powered on but not connected to the preamp -- i.e., the interconnects between the amps and the rest of the system are disconnected -- the amps hum. So it's fair to assume that my DNM .......

I just noticed that my VPI Scout motor is making a soft whirring noise as soon as I turn it on. I also noticed that when I turn the motor off it immediately stops spinning, which makes the belt slide .......

The Technics Sl1200MK2 has a two-pronged power plug, so I can't use a cheater plug. I did try the plug in different outlets, but the hum persisted. It still goes away when I touch the table. Listenin .......

Yep, my McIntosh C28 has two phono inputs. And that's exactly why I use this preamp. I use one input for my VPI Scout/JMW9/Dynavector 10x5. I use the other input for my Lenco L75/Decca International/G .......

IMNSHO, it's just inexcuseable how bad the Beatles CDs sound. Just terrible, I think. Even the Capitol/EMI stereo vinyl reissue I have of Rubber Soul sounds terrible. It's stone mint, and I can't sit .......
