I found that they do work well with taming digititus of CD players back in those days. Other than the relatively expensive audio prism one, I also used a really thick green Uni posca water based pen w .......

Not having much else on hand, I put on some Vaseline type gel as lube. And yes, it turned out all gears are snapped in, which made them a pain to remove. .......

I found an L shaped piece of metal and was able to pry from underneath without breaking the pulley. Now that it's off, I'm also able to see how I can remove other things to get to the broken gear. Mea .......

Connected the shell of the volume pot to the ground of the DC input. No noise whatsoever. However, I've yet to test it with aluminum plinth back on as the glue needs a little time to cure, but I doubt .......

Thanks. The sound as it is isn't any worse than direct connection it seems (I would say that it sounds meatier with the ddc and slightly more open without), but doing without ddc would mean less fuss .......

I think your assessment is fair. The NAS and switch are just plugged into a belkin "filter", and the main rig into Isotek. Power cables are decent (Furutech Nanoflux, Esoteric 6N, Acoustic Revive 1800 .......

Wow, someone actually "knows" what cables I use :) It is not a phono cable and the ground wire is only at source end. Anyway, CPK's statement is correct. It is indeed a ground cable for the wire shiel .......

Those are not vibrapods, but are some old Heco tiptoes with rubber inserts. I put them there for "damping" and giving the relatively light phono stage a little more weight. .......

Did that, and the balance still shifts towards the same side. The imbalance was miraculously gone after I removed the QR-8. The problem did not re-emerge when I placed it at position 2. .......
