I just measured the output noise and it comes in at 0.2 to 0.3 mV. Not too bad I guess. I should have measured it previously but the system is pretty revealing of any noise. The LadyDay amps are dead .......

Your amp can probably take the 16 ohm speakers without a problem. The only other option is to wire in parallel which will give you a 4 ohm speaker. My amps did not like that at all but YMMV. You will .......

No, I did not. The V-Caps are generally rated at or very near the top regarding their sound. The Silver/oils are a pretty good cap from what I have read but not quite in the same league. For the money .......

Don't be afraid to add a resistor in series with the tweeter (after the crossover) if you otherwise like the system as is. I don't know how accesible the crossover is on those speakers but it might be .......

There is also a very high probability of an impedance mismatch when using an Ipod or other portable device. Usually anything that is meant to drive primarily a pair of headphones may have this problem .......

I have not done a SMG crossover but I have done a 3.3. Most of the aftermarket caps and inductors are much(!) larger than stock and fitting them in the space allowed is NOT easy and may not be possibl .......

If you do this just solder the cap in parallel to the other(s). Too large of a cap will change the circuit by adding capacitance though, so be careful. Also, use a heat sink especially if the leads to .......
