I know vandies need bi-wiring but can the 3a's be bi-amped? I like using a tube amp on top and an ss on the bass when listening to music if the speakers can accommodate that. .......

I have a MAC MC 275 version vi. I have replaced the stock KT 88s with SED 6550s or JJ KT 88s and the 12ax7s with os Teles but have, so far, left the stock AT7s in place. The newer tubes have improved .......

Thanks for the replies. I did look at the schematics of the stand alone tuners vs. the tuner section of the receivers, but all I could tell was they all used a lot of tubes. I don't understand much ab .......

I have followed this website for a long time, but this is my first post. I must disagree with the position that KT88's sound "a lot" like 6550's. I have an ARC d70 MkII that originally had "winged c" .......
