The only MC I've used on my TP13a arm is a DL103, both stock and with a ruby cantilever/line contact stylus. I think they work very well together along with Cinemag- and Sowter based SUTs. With MM/MI/ .......

The Jarreau is a mid-70s Doug Sax mastering, the Chieftans LP was recorded very up front by Claddagh Records in Ireland. Both contain fun music that grooves appropriately for the particular styles :) .......

So after running into an almost new-condition example (free) and then reading about it in the archives here and elsewhere I dragged it home out of curiosity. Did some cursory cleaning, fired it up .......

I was waiting for the Rega to be suggested and was about to do it myself although I have never owned one. My only context is recently hearing a P3-24 with the PSU at a dealer, with a $300 Rega cartrid .......

...but of all the AT cartridges listed at VE, I think the OC9 is the only one with that disclaimer :) while it appears that none of the Nagaoka or Grace cartridges listed there have it, that I can see .......

Apparently it was a mistake to assume that the compliance figures in the Cartridge Database were normed. Rhetorically, why have a calculator that uses figures not valid for the calculator? In any eve .......

Excellent point. On my own Jelco w/ 20g effective mass I've used some vintage MM cartridges with compliance figures in the low 20s with glorious sound and no problems whatsoever. .......

The cartridge database at Vinyl Engine reports the dynamic compliance of the Nagaoka MP50 as 12x10-6cm/Dyne, the AT 150MLX dynamic compliance at 10x10-6cm/Dyne. If those figures are incorrect it would .......

If you search by range of cartridge compliance in the cartridge database at Vinyl Engine (say, 6-17), you can find a number of well thought of currently available MM cartridges with low enough complia .......
