The Onkyo CD player has an optical out only. Too bad you can't try a Micromega MyDac. I use it with SPDIF (Coaxial) but it will accept optical. If you don't think it passes muster, it would likely be .......

I purchased a MyDac and am surprised at what I hear. I was previously using a Sony DVP-9000ES with VSE Level 5+ mods (I am currently using it as a transport). I haven't gone back to the 9000 as a play .......

You are right; There are only a few (e.g. Oyaide & Furutech) 2 wire C7s. I see your point that any 2-wire C7 cord must be without a shield because there is no place to put it on the male ac end. If y .......

I just purchased a dac that has a C7 IEC inlet. I have a cryoed C7/C14 adapter, but I have been advised to use a C7 cord instead. In searching for a cord, I came across a few that were 2-wire vs 3-wir .......
