As pointed out by mah, the mystery driver is an SP12D so match is a possibility but less likely since this variant appears to be less common based on web searches. I'm using this for a mono setup so .......

Fortunately, all the drivers all working well. Binding posts and L-pads are probably hopeless. Electrolytics in the crossover are shot. I've seen posts on other forums about the difficulty of finding .......

The 1938 - 1939 catalog (400C) has specs for a transformer "T-52D89" which might be the same part. The specs listed are for a driver transformer "for specific applications." Driver tubes: 1-46, 59, 6F .......

You wire the transformer as if you were going to operate at 240 V to 240 V. This puts the primary in parallel and the secondary in series so you get a center tap. Since it will be connected to 120 VAC .......

You can use this for balanced power. Wire the primary with the coils in parallel (as for 240 V) and the secondaries in series (as for 240 V). You feed 120 V line into the primary and get balanced 120 .......

I use one when it's cold outside and it does substantially cut the fumes. To remove the most fumes, you need to position the soldering are close to the filter, 4 to 8 inches, and this does slow things .......
