I'm a big fan of Super Lube and it is the default lube for all my turntables (a dozen or so but who's counting). But the stuff you really want to try is something called Christo Lube which I found out .......

The arm is a Jelco SA-370H which uses Rega geometry (222mm P2S). I started with a Rega arm but it had wiring problems (what else is new?). All the other parts are either original Rega or upgraded Rega .......

Yes, I think the entire 2M line was designed with the physical Rega shape in mind. Considering that the Rega arm is probably the most widely used at least on lower end turntables, I think this makes s .......

I hold out hope that the 30k DD VPI turntable is a proof of concept and that VPI's real goal is to introduce a DD turntable for the masses. Of course there needs to be 10X order of cost reduction but .......

Yes!. It is round and you will be able to rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise. Of course you'll have to have it plugged in and the speakers turned up loud to hear the hum so be careful - I'm not pay .......

I have the same preamp and had some hum when I first got it. I spoke to PS Audio and they instructed me to rotate the internal toroidal power supply for the least hum. That worked for me. .......

I really think that the Benchmark DAC2 HGC ($2k) needs to be considered here as well. My two channel system has never sounded better with this "preamp" in my system. Also, might consider the Emotiva S .......

Plus 1 for the Fiio X1. Really great sound for $100. I also have the X3 which is good value as well. Cheap ($25) 64gb microsd cards provide space for about 120 lossless ablums. Really great! ::: TOPIC .......

It doesn't. In order to decode HDCD you have to have an HDCD chip set or decoding algorythm. The Benchmark does not process HDCD but it will play the redbook CD stream normally ignoring the HDCD flag. .......

As others have commented, the factory output default is way to high for consumer gear. I am using the RCA ouputs to my McCormack MAP-1. I found that the default Benchmark settings could drive the MAP- .......
