Yup..pretty good review here - the Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) sounds interesting. The FR of 79Hz - 28kHz is disappointing though compared to the original LS50's FR of 46 Hz to 20 kHz ±3. .......

I too recall listening to the AR line, especially the AR 3's in the 60's. They had a unique sound that overshadowed the other AR models, probably due to their larger size and drivers that represented .......

It depends on the speaker. Some speakers like Sonus Faber Cremona Auditors are very demanding of precise speaker placement. Others like Joseph Audio stand mounts are much less so. Speaker dispersion c .......

You can clean clean the pitted/heavily oxidized contacts by removing the cover if they have one. If totally sealed, it's best to replace.If badly pitted, you can try sanding them down with very fine e .......

In general, if they are acting up, it is wiser to replace the relay if available. Sometimes just cleaning the relay contacts will resolve the problem although it is often a temporary fix especially if .......

The Bel Canto C5i may fit the bill and has received nothing but praise from reviewers for what it's worth. The Hegel H80 would be my first choice with its DAC but may not have all that you are looking .......
