Never tried the Magnetite in your eBay link. But definitely the Magnetite in Dryginger2's link is very pure. Excellent for passive ground box mix or the DIY AC Power cable wrap. I am assuming the sell .......

There are several other uses or applications for Rochelle salt to lower noise. You would have to experiment with the amount to use. I would start with "less is better". Inside components by LED lights .......

That is fine. The picture is just to depict how to easily tell hot (smaller blade) from neutral (larger blade). You also have to look at the light switch and outlet to verify where the ground wire is .......

Where you place the Rochelle salt matters a lot. 1 gram vertically on the the hot side. The 0.5 horizontally is where the ground is installed at the light switch or AC outlet. .......

Agreed, solder does take time to burn-in. I have a feeling the rhodium plated connectors take longer. About 170 hours in and it feels/sounds to me that the connectors are still burning in. ::: TOPIC:: .......

My vote is crimp spade. If using binding posts get good quality copper or silver spades. Copper spade for copper wire and silver spade to be used with silver wire. Spade will have a tighter connection .......

If you like what the Hammond 193L chokes do, you will most likely appreciate what the PE will do. The PE effects the AC circuit differently then the 193L choke. The two work well together. I have ten .......

15 amp IEC and 20 amp IEC are shaped differently. Like you described, house shaped for 15 amp and rectangular for 20 amp. They are not interchangable. .......

The Furutech duplex will most likely effect the component plugged into it. I doubt it will effect the choke's effectiveness. Leave the choke in place for another 5 days, then see if you like it. In my .......

When I started installing/using these chokes I had Auricaps installed in a Proceed CDD and two modded Powervar Medical PLCs. With the parallel filters (Auricaps) removed, the system sounded way better .......

I use Walker's Vivid. On rough recordings I have also noticed that it will be a bit bright, but not harsh. After experimenting a bit with CD enhancers and treatments I have found the following combina .......

I have DIYed Chris VH's Flavor 1 and Flavor 4. In both all cryoed and with the Gold option (Furutech gold plugs). I do not currently use the Flavor 1 in my system but do use two Flavor 4 with the gold .......

The idea is not new. The way I apply the DBS system is different then their patent. I have studied their patent. Also, I am not selling the cables I build, they are for my own use not for commercial r .......

I have external/outboard crossovers and am thinking about dampening them with sand or the like. Two of the outboard crossovers are right next to a subwoofer and am fairly sure that the vibrations from .......

I agree with fmak, the Vampire XLR plugs are very affordable and perform nicely. I have used many Furutech DIY products and am very happy with their products. I am also tempted to try the XLR plugs yo .......

In my system balanced cables yield higher performance from my DAC to the pre. From the pre to the amp single ended yields a bit better performance. I do clean the contacts before insertion of the cabl .......
