I have a Cary 306/200 with a sticky drawer that won't close all the way and just opens back up. Works a little better if eveything's warmer (our house can be chilly in the winter) and will close with .......

You are right there for sure. I found what I like and stuck with it.....although once in a while a change is good. MG audio is a great s/c and the Cu2 a nice i/c. The full loom idea is very attractive .......

There is one panel for the house which is grounded. Each unit runs off the same leg from that panel. The chassis' of each unit have a ground screw that goes to ground with dedicated rods. I get that g .......

Isolate the digital and keep the amp on it's own line seems to be a theme. I think the Mojo could exist on the wall no problem sinc it is a dc transformer and isolation device itself. I don't care ab .......

Looks like one for the Amp is a concesus! I actually have 3 transformers already, Elgar 5kVA and Topaz 5 and 2.5 kVA. The Elgar is runing the amp, pre and cd/dac, each in it's own duplex, by itself. .......

I have some RFT's and like them a lot. BUT, NOS Valvo's sound better in my system. Rounder, more musical and larger stage. No loss of detail or extension. In the back,I actually find I like the GE 5s .......

Than you, Uncle Stu! I just spoke with an electrician familiar with the Topaz isolation transformers and he recommends a double gang at the fuse box with 240V in and 120v out of them! Lowers the noise .......

I think you are right. The K1xe was one of the best preamps I have heard and the phonostage exceptional, especially in its adaptabiltiy. AND, their service is the best...Michael is the soul of generos .......

I have a Cary 306/200 on which I need to have the rca outs switched. I can't use eichmann rca's on them as they are too long for the eichmann to ground. I tried to contract cary and they wouldn't give .......

I have recently seen a lot of modified less exppensive dacs whose mods actually make them pretty pricey.....notably at the empirical audio site. i do think one could get by on the more inexpensive sid .......

hey chris-i have the f-1 version which has all those upgrades in place and i do lke the sound a lot. it is also very quiet which mty previous aes djh sig was not....i think the direct coupling on the .......

thanks jaiello....RAL seems to have the umbilical market cornered. i would think it would make a little difference since everythin seems to, but i would also suspect it to be a small difference. but, .......

i got a return email from peter thompson saying that plinus had been under some pressure to have balanced circuitry in all its offerings and to watch for that over the next year or so.....fwiw ::: TOP .......

david-the dyn's should be broken in, a couple of thousand hours worth anyway. they have opened up quite a bit and i have what seems to be a good system match with plinius, cary cdp and analysis plus.. .......
