I have two 5X5 Expedits.I added 1/4 4X8 sheets to the backs. It made a huge difference in rigidity! I also cut some 13.25X3in boards out of mdf(you can use any 3/4 boards) and placed them in the back .......

Greetings, I ran tests using the FC-1, a diode rectifier circuit, (for lack of a better term) and a 300b. I found the Hammond 166J8 gave me 5.5v and .6a with a primary voltage of 120v. I did try a 166 .......

I've built both the JEL 300b and preamp and the best 76 for these applications is the US Army-US Navy VT-76. 76s are pretty microphonic and I've never found a commercial tube that was OK for my amps. .......

Love my B790. The stylus should hang low enough to touch rib of mat but not touch the body of the mat. The screw on top of cart assembly adjusts. For tracking force move cart to center of arm and kill .......

How long are you letting the TV-7 warm up? You should wait at least 15 minutes before testing tubes, 20 is better. You don't have to turn the tester off to test another tube. Just pop the tested tube .......
