It seems to happen generally where her voice reached a crescendo - it might be a characteristic of her voice, or it could be a foible of my gear perhaps. Notwithstanding this, I really like her work a .......

I can hear what appears to be distortion in the some of the vocals on Eleanor McEvoy's latest album Out There, which by the way is excellent. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this or whether .......

I got my Quad esl-2905s a few weeks ago, and my Cymer 35 watt single ended valve monoblocks are doing it easily. Cheers. .......

I got some 2905s a few weeks ago, and I am using 35 watt SET monoblocks made locally here in Sydney. They power the 2905s easily and they sound great. I usually listen around 80db but they can go high .......

Many thanks for the feedback guys. They have about 20 hours on them now and they are sounding better all the time. I have them toed-in at the moment so that they intersect about 6 to 8 feet behind my .......

I asked Sony in Australia the same thing recently and they replied as follows: "SCD-CE595 has a dedicated DSD processor to send the signals to the analog 5.1 outputs while the DVP-NC66K uses a general .......

you shouldn't necessarily cross the Hydra off your list - it may give differing results with different gear. I still have mine but I'm currently using an Oyaide MTB-4 (just a power board - no filterin .......

Interesting that you should ask that - I have found that the Hydra somehow "compresses" the sound. .......
