Is the room a 12'x19' box with a door you can shut or is it a 12'x19' room adjoining other open spaces? If your room is open, I would say yes. If it is a closed space I would opt for a smaller Maggie. .......

I own Acoustat 2+2 and had the caps, wiring and posts updated by Bill Thalmann at Music Technology. If I had to replace them with new speakers I would probably spend $15K for 20.7 Maggies. ::: TOPIC:: .......

I think your answer is posted on the Planar Circle of Audio Circle. There are two voice grids that drive the same woofer panel in each DWM. Basically A -> 1 AND C -> 3 AND B -> 5 AND D -> 7 with one .......

As far as I know the Korg DS DAC 100 does not have a HD. Nor should it have any mechanism inside that would cause any noise. I don't know your satellite box either, but if you unplug the satellite box .......

I would most likely choose vinyl. If the choice was between SACDs and 24/176.4 or higher PCM digital, I would pick the 24/176.4 PCM. If the choice was between SACDs and DSD128, I would pick the DSD128 .......

I suggest you review the AKG 701, Grado RS1, Grado GS100, and Sennheiser HD650. Of course you'll need a good headphone amp and if you really want to spend a lot of money you could always try the STAX .......

iTunes is highly recommended for Mac computers but not for Windows PCs. Other software choices for the Mac include Max, Play and Cog, which may or may not sound better and are definitely not as conven .......

Some sites offer sampling excerpts for every track on a album with 1 or 2 full tracks so buyers can make informed purchases. Nothing worse than spending $10-$100 on a album in great anticipation only .......

Many audiophiles do not have a SACD player. Other audiophiles see SACDs, DVD-As, Hi-Rez digital downloads, and Blu-ray discs as too limited in their desired music selections. I prefer my music on viny .......
