I have the Conquest Parallel 300B with an Audio Note UK M3 pre and into Zingali Horns. I love it. With my speakers it doesn't sound lacking in power of bass, nor does it run out of juice at very loud .......

I would recommend you talk to Brian re tube issues. He will be able to give you good advice on what to do. It could be a dry solder joint, or dirty tube pins. MAKE SURE you do not use your volt meter .......

I would say the Audio Note Kit L4.1 for sure. I have the 3.1 Kit and it is truly special. IMHO this is due to: 1. R2R ladder type chips 2. None Oversampling (OS which I lived with for years and hated) .......

You should try the V-Cap Teflons to replace the AN copper Caps. It opened up my Conquest monoblocks, and I got more dynamics and bass as well. .......
