If you have the HT, try direct coupling the driver to the 2a3. I don't know of any schematics that are not someone else's intellectual property. My 2a3's were originally Bottlehead kits, so the design .......

Thank you. I had stopped doing that on other dual triodes where I used only one P-k circuit but the whole heater was lit. That was because heater failure was usually the cause of tube failure anyway. .......

Just as a wild donkey guess, I would say that the problem would be greatly reduced. IIRC, one of the reasons CDs are dirt cheap to make is that they are "printed" so fast. If they are not stamped when .......

I think one difference between their Seduction and Eros is the amount of gain for each. You should probably post the gain for the seduction and the (milli)voltage output of the cart. Then those more .......

From my admittedly limited experience, I've found soundstage to be very dependent upon the line stage and preamp. I learned that from Subwatt and Sector-7G. My old Paramours had a huge soundstage with .......

The specs say the shaft is between .1872 and .1875. I would guess the pulley is reamed at .1870 max. That would give between .0002 and .0005 interference fit. If it's on the low side, you can probabl .......

I agree with tre'. Normally for the Zobel you get the resistance like you just did, then hook up some capacitors and a variable capacitor, put it on the scope with the input at the end of the tonearm .......

Yes. They get great sound out at 44.1kHz. Of course, it was very pricey at the time. Now bitrates have gone up and DAC prices have come down, but we still don't know where the technology will settle. .......

Thanks. Until now I have been using 10.1V batteries with no cap. As Paul says below, it's certainly worth the tradeoff. I guess no battery at elevated voltage, since the voltage has to drain somewhere .......

I've never used a TVC, but I use an autoformer volume control. I have found that it sounds amazing shunted across the output transformer of an active (I use a 26 dht) line stage, far better than alone .......

I don't know the paramount. The 10 turn I bought is rated at 5 watts. In the Paramount parts list, I would check if the humpot is rated 5 watts or less. The rating might also be on the pot itself. Gra .......

I don't know why it bottoms out. And if it is 50 ohms, even a 20 turn at 50 ohms will bottom out. I got two of "(RWV) 205" for my paraglows and put 15 ohm film resistors across them. (see voltsecond' .......

I think that another advantage is the reliability of output impedance (input to the next stage) under varying voltage/current conditions (Ra) and tube capacitances. And in the case of input impedances .......

The B7 output is 500 ohms. Would there be a problem running it balanced from the B7 to a 600:600 transformer on the other end? I'm looking to run the B7 output into a passive crossover, and I'm loving .......

1. You might be getting 70K vs. 58K because of +/- 20% tolerances and/or aging. Measure the individual R's on a meter before believing the bands I'm aging, all right :-) But I do measure the resisto .......
