What is pictured is a standard, garden variety, shielded, single ended interconnect. Nothing special. Many manufacturers have gone to unshielded cables since geometry of the wire is can also reject EM .......

Clearly, there was something seriously wrong with your "pure silver" RCA cables. Changing to XLR from RCA with all things being equal yields a modest difference at most at lengths typical in a home au .......

I read the same article a while ago. I'm not sure I agree since a lot of sonic non linearity issues can be attributed to the wire and its interaction with the connectors and not necessarily the connec .......

See my previous post. I really like the Xhadow RCA's. They are silver plated copper with a silver anodized barrel. Very rugged, easy to use and sound very good, IMO. Roughly the same price as the Eich .......

Three feet should be OK. Many companies tell you that 6' is required. This is because they buy a ready made cord from somewhere and apply cosmetic treatments. Truly inhouse made cords are somewhat rar .......

Yes Elizabeth, Separating the + and - conductors will reduce capacitance and thus yield better performance. Cotton rope is the best material to do this with since pure cotton has a low dielectric cons .......

BNC is a connector type and SPDIF is a 75 ohm unbalanced digital transmission standard for 10Meter or less cables. Where AES/EBU allows for longer lengths, up to 100 Meters. Yes they do make BNC to RC .......

Not necessary to ground the turntable. Your arm ground is sufficient which I assume you are using since you have an SME. Pin 3 on the DIN connector is grounded to the tonearm housing. .......

Huge difference IMO. The small signal coming out of a cartridge needs to be treated differently than one that is 10,000 times stronger such as a CD player. Be sure to do your homework and avoid tomear .......

It all depends on the application. For phono cable use, thinner gauge is better due to the very small signal (.18-4.0 millivolts) CD player to preamp or preamp to power amp, voltage is much greater so .......

Several of my friends have Standard Poodles. Great dogs with personality and very intelligent (for a dog) and they don't shed. They do require a haircut once in a while. We have an English Pointer/Dal .......
