Thanks, No, I don't want to listen to dvds through the DAC, only music. So if there is no issue having DTS or Dolby going in the DAC, I will stop unplugging it everytime I watch a movie. .......

I would say one out of three redbook won't work. I didn't have any SACD or DVDA to check. What makes me sad about it is to think about the next guy that will owns it. I don't think denon will fix it b .......

A similar problem has been reported with the recent denon dvd players. The problem was related to the power supply not being able to feed the optical components correctly. Hope this help. .......

it is not the bass enhancer, it is the one in the speaker size menu. I couldn't verify because I just send it to Denon for repair. :( see my other posts in the hi-rez highway .......

Hi, mine is may 2003... :( I got it refurbished, so parbably the customer before me just got his unit exchanged and the technician did not repair it correctly. They probably just change the disk drive .......
