It's not a diamond, just a steel needle. I don't have a photo of if, but it attaches to the taper neck of the horn and has a diaphragm that acts as the pickup. I just searched, and found Great Lakes A .......

I just bought a 1962 Willys 4WD wagon which was in great, all be it old, mechanical condition. The interior is shot, and of course the radio is missing. I've been watching ebay for a period AM radio t .......

Second the emotion on Fisher gear. I've been listening to Fisher receivers and speakers since my Dad and I bought our first system together in 1969. Solid state Fisher 200 with XP-60 speakers. I still .......

Thank You! Altec's plans are good enough to build from. They don't leave much to chance. The other thing I did was to use AutoCAD to redraw Altec's design, just to see how to put it together as a whol .......

I owe most of it to the wonderful resources here at AA. Great information, great people. I've tried things I'd never have attempted before after searching the archives and finding out how other inmate .......

The hardest part was getting the veneer to lay flat, clamping it in position and book matching the seams. I used a cold press glue which was kind of difficult, use too much and you have a mess. It was .......

I am also rebuilding the bias supply on a Fisher TA-800. I have a Sam's Photofact for this model which shows R113 as a 15 ohm, 5W resistor. I'm not sure, but I think the Fisher schematic may have a mi .......

I've fallen back in love with FM. Growing up in a college town we had a wonderful classical and jazz station, KANU. I'm in the Bay Area now and have KCSM. I've also revived a Fisher TA-800 with stand- .......

Thank you for the insight. This helps me quite a lot. This is the TA-800. I could use a copy of the Sam's folder on this unit. I've tried locating one, but always come up with the 800B or C model. ::: .......
