The resistive volume control and the cable capacitance in effect create a crossover and cause the high frequencies to roll off .......

The output stage on the player is already a little too crowded to be placing new circuitry in there. What do you think about the buffering idea? I've seen a burr brown buffer on percy's website that .......

I'm using a Jolida JD100 CD player with a quoted 47kOhm output impedance along with a 10k Mini Ladder Goldpoint Stepped Attenuator and an Acurus amp with 20kohm input impedance. I think 47kOhm's seems .......

Glad to hear all is working well for you Ozzy. I understand that TVC's are probably the most ideal passive (unfortunately, i'm a few dollars short of being able to afford one.. at the moment at least) .......

I've been planning on buying a passive preamp, a Goldpoint SA-3 using a 10 Kohm ladder style stepped attenuator, to put between a Jolida JD100 Tube CD player and an Acurus A200 SS amplifier. The Jolid .......
