I misread your message. I thought it would have been the coupling caps before the speaker binding posts, or the coupling caps just before the mosfets. If you think it is the PS caps then moving to unu .......

- Moved from Tube/DIY - Croft integrated. Uses 12ax7's in preamp. I have replaced them with 5751 tung sols which should be compatable. There are caps in front of outputs and caps in front of opamps. L .......

Good idea, I toed them out a bit but will try tilting them back. I will look at the dispersion plots online and see where the tweeters roll off in the vertical plane to see if this is a good option. : .......

RCA cleartops for the moment. From listening a few minutes to the stock tubes (philips 5814 i think) they actually sounded ok to me. I tried some Mullard CV4003. No good for me. Very soft and congeste .......

I switched the wires on the tweeter and the sound integrated much better. When it was in phase with the woofer and out of phase with the other speakers tweeter i was getting some weird sounds. :-) It .......

I may have gotten my tweeter + and - mixed up. From Taz's schematic I went by color and not wire location, as mine were different. the difference is quite noticable. The new xover on the left sounds a .......

...if you use any active signal gain... then what you hear in the recording is wrong? no. how else will you hear the music? what if your "amp" after your passive, amplifies the signal in 2 stages? sho .......

Yep. I upgraded to 2.2mh Alpha-Core's with good success. Ansar caps were very cheap and worked well in my application. Good luck. I would be interested to see what value your inductor is if you could .......
