It's easy to add in excess external parallel capacitance to what is there naturally if you like that but impossible to take away from whatever total system capacitance is there naturally if you don't .......

Great video. I like a star quad phono cable feeding a balanced preamp. Though I had to keep cable length pretty short due to the star quads higher capacitance. That matters to me since I run mostly MM .......

A couple of these wired in series would give you plenty of overhead for bridged mode. Their output voltage can be trimmed a few percent higher than nominal too. .......

For me digital eq is probably too much of a pain to achieve good quality consistently unless for purposes of archiving. Digital just isn't convenient since you have to calibrate each album perfectly .......

If you get your shield too close to the cable it is possible there is noticeable signal degradation if there is too much coupling between the shield and signal cable. There are probably different ways .......

I can't comment on how well the do or don't work for their intended function but I bet a static magnetic field causes a lot less bad sounding noise problem than one changing at more audible frequencie .......

Do you have the schematic? Shooting from the hip, I'd probably be inclined to try something similar but lower noise. TL072 -> opa2604 for example...fet inputs, quieter, even lower levels of bias/offse .......

Any ripple in the power rail fed to the motor by the drive circuitry will translate into some amount of torque ripple. Whether you can measure or hear it, I have no clue. .......

That motor in the video may be seeing 50Hz instead of 60Hz. A 4 pole motor would spin at 25 revs/sec at 50Hz. A 6 pole motor would spin 16.67 revs/sec at 50 Hz. I keep watching the video over and over .......

It sounds like you are already using a tuned 2 stage line filter with common mode filter first stage and differential mode filter second stage. That sounds like a really good starting place for trying .......

If just putting the core in there made a positive difference the three stage filter would be worth a try. Just adding the caps creates much more impedance to common mode noise than just the core alone .......

I've always speculated that systems with the biggest emi problems benefit the most from these tweaks aimed at reducing emi. Those systems with very small emi problems will achieve relatively fewer app .......

Are the snubbers line rated? Even with proper voltage ratings it could be risky to use parts not sporting the proper safety rating. The safety caps are guaranteed to fail safely whereas with unrated p .......

KAB sells stock arms for $140 and cardas rewired arms for like $250. Probably want to change the main bearing too. KAB will also sell you one of those. I think the main bearings are quite a bit less .......

It will work. If it's really only 70uVrms while playing at reference level, 60dB gain would only bring you to ~22% of nominal on a standard -10dBV input. Many pieces of gear will not perform optimally .......

Assuming both caps are equivalent construction and material quality DA, esr, esl seems to go up with package/capacitance value size in a given voltage, temp range and tolerance, though I'm sure there .......
