Thanks. Got the top off & located fuse between transformer. It looked burnt but when I went to take it out it broke. I'm hoping when I replace it everything will work again. I'll post soon. ::: TOPIC: .......

i tested all 8 tubes , one was shorted, rest tested fine. when i take it off standby the meter reads 0 for all tubes but all the tubes are on . for some reason i just cant figure out how to open this .......

Amp stopped playing,(wife turned up volume too loud) tested tubes , one had a short. Im assuming a resistor blew. amp turns on & tubes have current but when i take off standby no sound. what im trying .......

Stu, im using mono blocs , does that make a difference ? so if my speakers are bi-wire it wont work on the speakers binding posts? .......

what if my speakers are Bi-Wire? do i do a loop for bass & treble separate or connect the negative of both to each other? (meaning one end to bass & other to treble binding post) .......

a couple of months ago my amplifier blew taking out both tweeters, i finally found original replacement diaphragms & replaced them. I hooked up both tweeters last night & low & behold one tweeter was .......

Thank DeKay , im going to take out the tweeter to see the # on the back & see if Lockwood has the diaphragm for it. That would be a HUGE help. Thanks JM also but Madisound does not have any. Anyone e .......

I believe bobby said this was a custom made tweeter hence the difficulty in finding a replacement . .......

im assuming one absorbs less freq. & the other more . what is the difference in building them DIY style? when is a panel considered broadband/bass trap? and when is it considered just a sound absorbin .......

i only got the rock wool because it was $50 vs. $120+ for the owens corning 705. that will be for the bass , the 3 1/2 (R-13) fiberglass is for the highs. Im trying as you both say to absorb the lows .......

i am using both 2" rigid panel rockwool rated at 6/lb density & on top of that im going to use 3 1/2 " regular loose fiberglass with backing. Would you recommend doubling up on the 2" rockwool panel ( .......

Im in the process of of building 10 sound absorbing panels a'la Jon Risch. 2" rockwool (6/lbs) plus r-13 insulation (with backing)& poly batting . they will be 2ft x 4 ft. Now from reading so much in .......

How many V-caps did you have installed 2 or 4 ? which sira do you have the 6y6 or 6080 ? I love this pre amp & had a guy (chief engeneer of Laffayet, back in the hayday) put in a couple of Vitamin Q c .......

i had a Urushi (vermillion), sold it to buy one of the top 3 cartridges in the world. I wish i could have kept the urushi too, i loved it. it played music & brought tears to your eyes .......

i was listening to music everything was fine. i hit stop, went out came back & hit play , no music was coming out. everything else worked. ie. disc was spinning & display lights were on..(just no soun .......

i had the arm sold to a real person, but the scammer wanted the arm/table combo.(at the time the reply looked legit) not like the first one i got for my cartrige where it was easy to spot..so i agreed .......

just got mine , 18 hrs so far..it is an amazing cartrige. i use it on a EUROLAB PREMIER, with a MORCH DP-6. dont set it up until you have all the set-up gear. it will be worth the weight.. ::: TOPIC:: .......

try putting pumice stone under the t/t feet . works great on my suspentionless t/t.. you can buy it at a local drug store.. (DR. scholls is best) .......
