Since you have the print sheet it should indicate the stylus type. either MR or FG-S. Besides it may well have been retipped and the retip will certainly have been w/ an FGS. Try backing off to 1.7 an .......

It depends on which stylus you have. If you have an MR stylus it will be azimuth sensitive,if Gyger stylus it is VTA sensitive and VTF sensitive. I've had Benz's w/both and the Gyger FGS is not user f .......

You should take your Hadley to a top service tech and have it thoroughly checked out and inspected. It would be a horrible shame if some resistors or caps were too far out of spec and you blew it up. .......

The longer the stylus tip you are using,the worse the problem is. You need to be right on the "button" with a MicroRidge/Line Contact stylus.A little more forgiving stylus like the Shibata/VDH/Gyger i .......

You misunderstand that the Japanese TT mfr's coined the marketing term "Direct Drive" 35 years ago.They are all magnetic drive as a class. .......

The problem might be inside the junction box,you can flip it over and use a jewellers screwdriver to open the lid and inspect. A lot more probable is the wire/cart clip area though. Use a magnifying g .......

Before you go to too much trouble with azimuth,make sure you are playing the "correct" radius. I find that setting the tangency to exacting levels makes vta/azimuth adjustments much ,much easier to he .......

You need the headphones that were made to be used with those units. They only perform "just ok"...not nearly as well as the VTV dual triode characterizer. Heres a set for sale on epay .......

There are cheap little solder pots that work well for Cardas wire. The individual wires are coated and need to be tinned prior to soldering. If you want to use the BIG IRON method do this first. Buy s .......

You are supposed to coat the wires with rosin flux and dip them in a small solder pot. This removes the litz coating and tins the wire at the same time. .......

I also bought some HAL-O's for my 6922's. First recommendation is to remove 2 of the dampers and listen again. Then swap the dampers to the "other" two tubes. The recommendation of trying the dampers .......

There are actually two earlier types of Siemens E88CC,they both have D-getters. One D-getter type has a D-getter angled from the getter support just as the halo getter type you have tested (90 degrees .......

I have 2 pairs of 12AX7 10M's...one pair has gold pins,the other does not. Tubes are identical in construction and lettering. Even came in identical boxes. I'm sure the gold pins will sell for more $, .......

Thats surprising to hear...I bought the 45RPM version a couple years ago and thought the sound was only acceptable. I've had several versions of this record and never really was happy with the sound o .......

Hi , The Scout would be a better deal asfaik...the Oracle is only upgradeable to mk111...and that upgrade is pricey. I believe the Scout has a better upgrade path. Plus the Oracle HAS seen its time co .......

If you are looking at the cart pins from the back side ... most pins are alignedke this (GREEN...top left) (BLUE...top right) (RED...lower left) (WHITE...lower right) If the 2 remainig wires correspon .......

I've got both MFSL and NM orig ....(important album ya know)... While the MFSL is really nice,the orig has a little more "MORE" there. That having been said it would probably be easier to find an acce .......

I have a pair of mC1's that have the date codes in the bottom too... Howver your tubes codes only seem to have 5 letters,(arrayed poorly) My mC1's have plant codes of (from memory) D7A.....where the l .......

Sorey,I forgot to include that sometime in the early 80's they reworkrd the lathes and started usin TML-X in place of TML-S....they are both the "other" lathe .......
