I have the 45 RPM and was a little disappointed. The cymbals have a nice shimmer and decay but there is no bottom end. I mean this is Metallica. It should have massive bass slam, but its just a weak a .......

A little while back, I bought and entire collection that was water damaged. Her son passed away and she just wanted to get rid of his collection. Amongst these was BIA on MFSL. The cover is pretty bad .......

Our setups are fairly similar My TT is a Music Hall MMF5 and the phono is the Jolida JD9. I am curious as to how the speedbox works out on your setup, if you decide to get it. The biggest improvement .......

I first bought a Shure V15VxMR which made a nice change (rode a lot higher too), but I broke the stylus. I now have an AT0C9. It rides pretty low, but not like that Grado. .......

I paid way too much for it. Anyway, I use a 35 watt tube amp and have to crank it up much more to get the same volume as I do from the US version. And although the vinyl is very quiet, it seems a litt .......

Can't say anything about the Goldring 1042 , but I have the Shure and I like it alot. The Goldring 1012 sounds good but the Shure just sounds more musical. It's just plain easy to listen to. Sorry I d .......

Haven't heard the 10x5 but I can say without reservation that the Shure sounds great on my MMF5. The Goldring isn't bad, just not as good as the Shure. Be aware though, that both cartridges have a lon .......

It was off quite a bit as far as being level. My amp wouldn't summon both channels so I had to do it with a small bubble level. I found the little set screw that holds the arm in place and loosened it .......

Out of the box, it killed the 1012 in the soundstage area. The bass was much better as well. It seems that female vocals were a bit too laid back. I'm not gonna say this is my final judgement on this .......

Thanks for your help with the MMF setup. I got the torpedo level and made everything right. I then leveled up the tonearm, dropped the back end a bit, and let 'er ride. Results: soudstage is now wider .......
