I haven't had any cable or dish channels for over 3 years and I'm still alive. Don't miss any of it. Up here in the Northwoods I get 12 off air channels and ME-TV is the best! Anybody else share that .......

What does the owners manual recommend? If unavailable, Try using Pledge Multi-Surface cleaner. Readily available, not at all expensive, and no complaints from me and I use it on both new and vintage. .......

Olddude is right. A quick flick with a soft brush is fine. Hell, I've been using a Diskwasher stylus brush for years. A drop of distilled water and a pull toward the front of the headshell works great .......

TEAC customer service is a blessing! A 3 minute phone call with a real person who was kind, knowledgable and very helpful, produced a clean copy of the manual in question. Customer service is not dead .......

Yes, its true. NAD did and still does produce very musical items. I to have a 7060 and other than non functional tuning meters, its very nuetral and quite open throughout both vinyl and r 2 r playback .......

Believe it or not, an old Discwasher Stylus brush like the Benz Micro is very effective. True, they may be hard to find so in that case, go to your local Walgreens, and acquire a soft eyeliner brush. .......

Once again I've taken the plunge into R 2 R tape goodies. I plan on dubbing a whole shit load of cassettes to R 2 R using a TEAC CX-650R to go to a TEAC 2300S. I plan on dubbing prerecorded and copied .......

It's always been my understanding,the Discwasher System(as they caled it)fluid was nothing more than diluted Dove detergent and distilled water. A lot of soap residue in them thar' grooves. Good luck. .......

Among my numerous mistakes in life, not many rank higher than dumping my 35 or so Quad discs in 80 or 81. I kept my other vinyl, but why I dumped the 4 banger still haunts me. Hell I even had 12 or 15 .......

I agree. The cover is called exactly what it is...a dust cover. In my humble domecile its use is only when the TT sits idle. It keeps the dust off. What a concept. Good luck. .......

After a good wet clean and use of an RCM...then a dry brush like AQ's is adequate. After which you decide when to get the funk out if at all. Good luck. .......

Ditto to all the responders. I also use the kitchen sink for mass cleansing of all types of all my vinyl. Even new ones if quantities merit that. An RCM is used as the last step and an old metal recor .......

Congrats! Don't overlook the furniture care section in your grocery stores household cleaner isle. Get some Murphy Oil soap and you'll enjoy the results. Excellent other wood cleaners are Old English .......

Go to a bicycle shop and get some synthetic lube from them. Various brands and prices so you be the judge. Also a tackle shop would help you with lube used on fishing reels. Use a Q-tip and small pain .......

OK fine, I have more than one TT and some are better than others, but besides using an elderly but very decent REGA Planar 2 with Regs Bias cart, I also enjoy my BIC 981 with SHURE 97XE, Garrard Z2000 .......

Also if you're ambitious, you could try to carefully remove the "workings" ( BE CAREFULL!! )from the base and spray the inside of the chasis/base assembly with automotive undercoating. S/B less than $ .......

You're a lucky man. I had a 1229Q way back in '74 and it was fantastic. I regret selling it in '79 due to a cross country move prohibiting more than one TT. I kept a Garrard Z2000B of all things! Not .......
