I found the guys at Innovative Audio Video and Lyric HiFi in Manhattan to be down-to-earth, friendly folks. I can't say the same for Sound by Singer. I would also like to mention a fantastic dealer in .......

The best seats in orchestral venues tend to be a bit back from the stage, in the center. It's also nice because you have a balanced view of the musicians on stage. .......

I've heard the Naim CD players at Innovative Audio/Video in Manhattan, and they really are wonderful- they really push that brand, especially the transports. .......

One issue that could account for the difference is that they were using Arcam components, whom I am not really familiar with in terms of character. I own Rotel, and I am used to auditioning components .......

I was at Sound by Singer yesterday, and I listened to the JM Labs 716S for quite a while, and something about them failed to pull me in. I tried the 714S, not bad, but still nothing overly impressive. .......
