Perform a search! IIRC a fellow AA Inmate posted about the Psvane KT120's here, reporting that they sounded better to him than the stock Tung Sol KT120 tubes but the Psvane's wouldn't hold bias correc .......

VPI probably had lots of parts and assemblies left over from discontinued products and decided to squeeze some money from stuff that might have been otherwise sitting on their shelves gathering dust b .......

Military tubes had to be extra tough. We used tube-powered radar in our combat aircraft in the 1950's and 1960's until the aircraft industry went solid state. SS equipment was much lighter in weight, .......
