Thanks. I have good suppressors/conditioners on everything else (including at the electrical panel). The plug to my turntable motor is oversized and takes up an entire receptacle duplex. Not enough ro .......

I get a lot of power outages and spikes, and they routinely power on my turntable. I'm looking for an inexpensive and simple single-receptacle suppressor to put between the outlet and the plug. Prefer .......

This is my last post on this. The parties' intentions are not capable of being "honest" or "dishonest." They either intend a facet of the transaction or they don't. If Paypal inquires of the parties .......

I noticed the surcharge exclusion, too. I'm curious why paypal imposes that restriction. I would think it would be easy to sidestep, though. Have the buyer agree that any additional fee is not a surch .......

Here's the info from Paypal's website on its seller protection policy. I wouldn't accept paypal from any foreign account other than UK or Canada, and would not accept from those countries without care .......

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I called paypal, and here's the (or one) potential con angle: Paypal doesn't offer "seller protection" to foreign paypal accounts other than UK and Canada, and it do .......

I'd like the ability to control volume to the outdoor speakers independently. Right now, I have an integrated (McIntosh MA6900) driving indoor speakers, and I've got an amp connected to the integrate .......

Yes, the monos fit the bill, as does the single chassis MA-S160 amp - both have gain control. I'm excited to check these out. Thanks again for the lead. .......

Thanks for the great recommendation - form factor-wise and performance-wise, the CA-S3 is exactly what I had in mind. I don't know, though, whether it would be ideal, give that it is an integrated. .......

Can anyone recommend a compact, moderately priced amp that has gain controls? Maybe digital. A compact design (4 inches or less in height) is more important than sound quality - driving outdoor speake .......

My preamp (Mac MA6900) and CD player (Mac MCD250) both have RCA and XLR inputs/outputs, and I'm using both - Cardas Golden Cross XLRs and Shunyata Aries RCAs. I toggle between the two by selecting bet .......

I just got a used MA6900 integrated amp, and can't get it to work. Using only a CD player as a source, I get no sound, unless I turn the volume completely up, in which case I get a very faint playback .......

Thanks for the great advice, Bruce! My amp has gain controls, so it sounds like the best option is driving the outdoor speakers through the 6900's preamp output. Cheers! .......

I have an amp with bi-wired speaker outs, but my cables aren't biwired. Does it matter whether I use the same speaker cable for the jumpers (8TC), or will cable from any mfr. do? Thanks in advance. : .......

Thanks for clearing that up. I don't currently have any surge suppression/filtering devices. I'm thinking of getting an ultimate outlet, though. If I understand you correctly, the UO will work proper .......
