I actually had to buy a CD recently. It wasn't available on Qobuz, which is rare. I forgot to look at Presto, they had a download that was $10 cheaper. Now I've just got to find my CD/DVD drive to rip .......

One of the reasons I like my LTA is because it is so light, 18 lbs. Easy for me to move around. And the tubes should last a very long time according to LTA, it uses 2x 12AU7 preamp, 2x 12AX7, 2x 12AU7 .......

I have one as well and I find it to be a superlative player with CD and SACD, and the DAC is just great. It's built like a tank and it's SIMPLE. I find myself really leaning into simplicity these days .......

What is it about these that makes them so difficult to drive? I see the mfg. recommends 400 watts! My little Avalons have roughly the same specs (87dB, 5Ω nominal) and I get plenty of volume with my 2 .......
