I've only cleaned about 20 LPs so far and half of those were previously cleaned on my Loricraft using Disc Doctor fluid and a distilled water rinse. I didn't get the white haze but the Kirmuss did fur .......

FWIW, the review of the ARC integrated amp in the latest TAS lists the 1.7's as the only speaker in the associated equipment column. It's a 50 watt amp, so you may be happy with your tube amp. ::: TOP .......

The WE 350bs have a date code of 11/57 on the boxes. Any time I went back to listen to these tubes they always sounded better after a day of warm up. I'm with you on the RCA 6L6G. They are my favorite .......

I have Quad 57's and have driven them with my Wavelength 300B amps. The 4 ohm tap does work better than the 8 ohm, but amps with feedback work better, which rules out SETS. .......

Of those you mention the only one I'm familiar with is the ESP. You should try the Nirvana Analog PC. In my preamp I found it to be not aggressive, very airy and layered, with tight bass but not boomy .......

Depends on which NOS 2A3 you're talking about. I like my RCA monoplates best, then tied for second place are the RCA dual plates and the AVVT meshplates, and last comes the TJ meshplate. This is in my .......

The EH 6SN7's do have more gain than the Sylvania 6SN7W's. I also found the EH's to have more body, while the Sylvania tubes have more detail and air. I think that's the real trade-off. I wasn't too t .......

Interesting. I use to have a Full Naim system, including 2 NAP 250 amps. I found it grainy compared to my tube system and eventually sold it. Other than that, I believe the Naim stuff is very musical, .......

When I owned the M60's my favorite 6SN7s in those amps were the Brimar CV1988s. You may also want to try EH6SN7s. They are available and cheap compared to NOS. I thought the Sylvania 6SN7Ws and GTs so .......

I have found that the interconnect cable is important in this area. An unsheilded i/c will act as an antenna and pick up unwanted RF, all due from an impedance mismatch. Do a search or post a question .......

I have owned the Cary SLP-98, the Emotive Audio Sira, and now I own the Emotive Audio Epifania. Hands down, the Emotive Audio Sira is simply much more musical compared to the Cary. .......
